We are looking forward to the upcoming field day in Invermere. This get together is to bring program partners together the review research and look at where we go from here.  The meeting starts at 9am October 19th, at the Invermere Community Hall.

BC Agriculture Council Executive Director Reg Ens represents fourteen thousand of BC’s farms, and is the official voice of BC agriculture. In this video he offers an endorsement of the Ecological Services Initiative on the eve of the Initiative’s official launch.

Welcome to the Ecological Services Initiative

We are a group of farmers, ranchers, professionals, academics and community members who believe the ongoing health of individuals and communities depends on maintaining the health of our natural systems found on farmland. We are working towards provincial agriculture policy and programming that helps maintain natural systems and the goods and services they provide.

In spring 2011, the Windermere Farmers Institute received funding from ARDCorp for a Province Wide Ecological Goods and Services Research and Demonstration Project. This project is Phase II of the BC EG&S Program Initiative.
