The number of ESI demonstration sites continues to grow we are now up to over 20 sites in BC and Alberta. With recently approved funding we will be adding our first demonstration region (more on this soon).

Field Day

Bunyan Lake Demonstration and Research Site

We are looking forward to the upcoming field day in Invermere. This get together is to bring program partners together the review research and look at where we go from here.  The meeting starts at 9am October 19th, at the Invermere Community Hall.

Welcome to the Ecological Services Initiative

We are a group of farmers, ranchers, professionals, academics and community members who believe the ongoing health of individuals and communities depends on maintaining the health of our natural systems found on farmland. We are working towards provincial agriculture policy and programming that helps maintain natural systems and the goods and services they provide.

In spring 2011, the Windermere Farmers Institute received funding from ARDCorp for a Province Wide Ecological Goods and Services Research and Demonstration Project. This project is Phase II of the BC EG&S Program Initiative.
